FETC 2023 is Almost Here!
The Future of Education Technology Conference (FETC) is around the corner. Join us in New Orleans to chat about edtech, project-based learning, educator PD, and much more. The 2023 conference will be held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, LA from January 23rd into January 26th. We will be attending as exhibitors and our talented team members will be hosting five different sessions. We have something for everyone, so if you’re going to FETC, be sure to join us for a session, or a chat at our booth.
Event and exhibition details
We’ll be in the exhibition hall in the iBlocks PBL booth, number 1923, talking about our ground-breaking PBL experiences. An iBlock is a 10-part progression of student-led, teacher-guided activities that center on cross-curricular skill building and culminate in a capstone project. Come chat with us to learn how simple it can be to incorporate STEAM-based PBL in your school. We have a library of over 40 topics to choose from, with more topics on the horizon. Along with our sample iBlocks, the booth will also include some of our top edtech offerings. Our team members can show you how to seamlessly integrate edtech like robots, 3D printing, and more into your classroom.

Using Emojis to Manage Classroom Routines and Activities

You may already be using emojis in some way in your classroom, but did you know that these little characters can be a great visual cue for students as they work through assignments? Join me as I share suggestions for incorporating emojis into your pre-existing assignments and explore how these fun characters can even help you to manage classroom routines!

Getting Started with Robotics Without Stocking Up on Robotic Products

Whether you have twenty robots, one robot, or none, you can get started robotics in your classroom. Many popular robotic tools offer a virtual replication of their robot so students can program and test their codes. During this session, you will learn about a few platforms such as micro:bit, Ozobots, Sam Labs, Dot and Dash, and more which will allow your students to get started before getting their hands on equipment. Take on a virtual challenge and put yourself in the student’s seat.
Using Google Tools to Support PBL in the Science Classroom

Project-based learning, in conjunction with the productivity and collaboration tools available in Google Workspace, can support and enhance student outcomes.
